I try to make the classroom a little bit more exciting than is done traditionally. In science we're learning about how to classify animals into different categories. I decided it would be fun to help the students exercise this skill by having them play detective. This video is only one of the few that I have created for us to play during science time in our class. Here is an example:

Digital Literacy
The goal of this blog is to help the students become digitally literate. The definition of literacy is constantly changing. Being "literate" now involves digital media including use of the internet for information and interaction. By using this blog to describe what they're doing in class, the students will be able to explore many realms of literacy. I would like to open their eyes to a new way of learning including transforming traditional learning techniques onto the internet [ie. graphs, charts, videos, pictures].
